Start writing when voice is not the right tool.
Long-press New Note on iPhone or iPad to start a typed note right away. Save stays legible, and your text stays editable until you save or discard it.

02: Audio
Playback has the recording it needs.
Voice notes keep their audio after they sync, so playback and audio export stay available instead of leaving you with the transcript alone.

- Background recordings finish. A recording started in the background picks back up when you return.
- Mac loading state. Play tells you when audio is getting ready.

Menus open cleanly the first time.
Send and More open at full size on the first click, with native menu labels, cleaner dismissal, and tooltips for note actions.
