Traditional note-taking failed us. Brilliant insights during walks or conversations would vanish before we could capture them. Every voice app sent audio to the cloud, leaving our most personal ideas exposed.
Cleft was built around one insight: the real problem is capture, not organization.
We’re not building another second brain. We’re solving what happens before organization. That two-second window between having a thought and losing it forever. Voice-first, privacy-first, built for brains that move faster than fingers can type.

A sidequest with a purpose
Cleft is bootstrapped and customer-funded. Our goal is to build a sustainable business, not chase hypergrowth or an exit. We run Cleft alongside Amber and our other ventures because we believe in building thoughtful products that solve real problems for real people.
